The operation of the PLC is industrial PC based and operates on Windows. That’s make easy use of operator panel. Most of the document relating to the robot; like operation manual and electrical project is loaded so you don’t have search for the hard copy of the documents.
There 50 receipts available for the products. The products information can be stored or uploaded via USB storage devices. If Temcon got the info regarding the products, we can upload before delivery of the machine. Also, full training will be given upon delivery.
The lids are manually loaded to the magazine on correct position. The capacity of the each magazine is about 150 lids. (4×150=600 lid capacity) There is some safety on the lid magazine. If the operator loading the magazine, the lid rotating mechanism will not operate unless its fully loaded and cover is closed. The ejected lid goes to labelling unit if the labels needed. Now days the lid are produced with label. This technology calls in-mould. So you the producers of wet wipes do not have invested in label separately and use down time from labelling unit. Labelling Unit (Avery Dennison) (Optional as per customer request) Labelling unit is an option for the reasons mention above. In any case a labelling unit can be installed on later stages if needed. If the labelling need always there is space for the labelling unit. In high speed production, the producers can ask for the second labelling machine to save from down time and continuous production. For this option Temcon must be informed when the order placed.
There are 3 vacuum suction cup station. The vacuum pads pick the lids when arrived to correct position. This position is determined by a sensor. Also a sensor connected to the vacuum pads to make sure there is a lid picked up. Also that sensor sends signals to the hot melt unit to spray glue to the lid. That system makes sure if there no lids then no glue sprayed so the glue is not wastes and there is mass around.
The products are supplied from flow pack machine. The lid applicator machine connected to exit of the flow pack machine. No manual transfer needed. If the flow pack machine is top sealing system then product must turn. If this is the case then we can supply product turning conveyor. The products on the conveyor are detected by a camera to locate the product location. The camera is identifying the symbol that you have teach. The camera identifies the products and then sends the signal to vacuum pads when and where to apply the glued lids. If no products the lids are not dropped on the conveyor. If the products delayed after so much time then the lids disposed to indented safe place in order not to make mass around.
The machine designed for Cam-Cad. That means the shape of glue on the plastic lids can be uploaded so no need manually entering the gluing point. That’s saves times and accuracy of the glue location. The glue is applied to the bottom of the lid.
The amount of glued is can be set up from the air pressure of hot melt unit. Also the type of nozzle is also important. According to area the type of nozzle is determined.
In order to glue the area correctly and save time on setting on the machine, the gluing system can be loaded on DFX format and the robot does the rest.
This option always available to customer who have high speed production that the control cannot be performed by operator. The system check every individual pack for; misplaced lids, missed lids or labels.
